Since 1995 to the present day, the natural resources of Băile Felix have been developed by Turism Felix S.A., which in recent years has made massive investments in tourism infrastructure. Băile Felix is the largest spa resort in the country, which has already earned a well-deserved reputation, both in Romania and abroad. It is located in the north-western part of the country, 9 km from Oradea, in a hilly area with beech and oak forests, at an altitude of 140 meters. Being favored by a moderate continental climate of plateaus and hills, with mild and temperate winters under the influence of Mediterranean elements, Baile Felix retains its pure resort character through the inexhaustible wealth of thermal mineral waters. In recognition of the therapeutic qualities of these waters, they were awarded the Gold Medal and the Diploma of Honor at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1896.

The miraculous effects of the thermal water of Baile Felix have been known since the Roman Empire. Tradition has it that in 1095 King Ladislaus, traveling through these lands, discovered the hot springs with miraculous effects. The oldest evidence of the existence of these baths dates back to 1221, from the time of the Abbey of Hevius of Magno-Varadina, which survived in these places until the time of the Turks. Today you can still see one of the first pools built hundreds of years ago. Over time, a thriving resort developed around the first thermal spring, attracting tourists from all over Europe. In recognition of its therapeutic qualities, the resort's waters were awarded a gold medal and diploma of honor at the 1896 Paris World Exhibition.

The Felix Baths have a unique bioclimate with a perfectly balanced humidity that induces a state of relaxation and invigoration in the human body. Even in the hot season you can feel a certain form of breeze generated by the influence of the winds coming from the Austrian Alps, which bring with them Mediterranean currents. The breeze activates heat absorption mechanisms and enhances the effects of thermal water. Unique in the world, the thermal waters of Baile Felix are the most appreciated healing waters in the region. The thermal water is so pure that it can be consumed as drinking water. The spring temperatures, between 40-49˚C, and the concentration of salts of just over 1g per liter give these waters miraculous properties for most musculoskeletal ailments, and they fall into the category of oligomineral waters.
